即然說是要轉大人，就要來介紹一本歐美年輕人的啟蒙好書，澳洲作家Bryce Courtenay(布萊思．寇特內) 的小說， The Power of One(一的力量)。主角是一個南非的白人少年，Peekay的成長故事。Peekay從小因為瘦弱，在學校中被大的小孩霸凌，他學習在逆境中求生存，從逃避無情現實，到幻想中的夢之地去躲藏；到學習低調隱身到人群之中而不被欺負，後來他發現如果例如比賽拿冠軍，也是另一種隱身之術，因為朋友會不再欺負他，甚至會歡迎他。成長的過程中，Peekay從一位德國老師身上學習智力的精進，從拳擊老師身上學習體能的進步，終於脫離被欺負的命運，長大成為一個成功的人。

這本書最重要的部分，是Peekay在成長的過程中，逐漸了解到，只要相信自己做的到，不要被現實的環境和既成的規則限制，保持一顆能獨立思考熱情的心，永不放棄，你就不會被擊倒，一切的力量都是源於自己心中的力量，相信自己的力量，不停地追求進步精進，這個世界，就是你的，所有的規則，都可以被改變。

我們工程師，未必從小被欺負，相反的，可能從小倍受寵愛。當你好不容易提起勇氣來創業，卻常常還是在一個固定的框架中看事情，思想上不能獨立，處處受到不該有的限制，雖然有夢想和熱情，技能和方法，卻不了解力量的來源，沒有意識到創業是要創造的，規則也可以被創造的，不認知自己有這個力量，不能thinking out-of-the-box，不了解正向和負向一樣重要，就會失敗，雖然一時失意也是必然，但有些人永遠不明白。而這個力量，就是The Power of Yourself，轉大人，先從相信自己開始，只要你相信，任何事情都難不倒你，你的夢想，一定可以實現。

讀我這本書時，也請特別注意，我的經驗，只是你的參考，我的失敗和痛苦過程，黑暗和負面的事情，才是你更要留意，轉成你正面，贏的力量。
